Membership of Dance Camp North
Dance Camp North is a community organisation located in the north of England and which runs events throughout the year to sustain that community. The members of that community are individuals who choose to support those events and as such are chosing to be members of that community. Through their membership they are committing to the ideals of that community (more here) and the fact that that community needs financial, physical and spiritual energy to keep going.
Dance Camp North is run through a non profit making business limited by guarantee. For legal reasons this means that everyone who takes part in its events (apart from certain short events) has to be a member of that organisation. The legal benefits are that in the event of the company ceasing to trade, the liability of the members will be protected to the extent of their annual membership fee. Being a member gives you discounts to our community events.
The main benefits of belonging to our community are that you can take part in the community events through out the year; join our extended family and feel the care and support we are able to offer all our members. In the last year we have held our main event - an annual 8 day summer camp, a smaller May camp, a Winter Gathering, and AGM weekend, a bonfire party, a solstice celebration, a Christmas Crafts event and a singing day.
